Sony PlayTV - Image 1Version 1.10 is now out for the PlayStation 3 European digital TV add-on, PlayTV. This patch brings a hefty bunch of new additions, particularly the automatic upscaling from SD to HD.

Other enhancements include volume control with the official PS3 Blu-ray remote and audio normalization. This would be similar to the feature added to music playback in FW 2.70, if you'll remember.

And then there's also that new option for you to go directly into TV mode from the XMB. Now you won't have to go back and forth to the PlayTV menus. Playback's also been tweaked a bit, providing for a slightly better handling for rewind and fastforward action. New speeds have also been added.

» not only US

not only US but North America! Canadian's are getting screwed up here. We don't have the ability to download, rent and buy movies yet. I'm pretty sure I would love Play TV also as not only me but many Canadian's.

» yep

Even if its available in Europe I wonder when it'll get down here to Aus as I cant wait for it. There would be no reason to turn off the PS3 is it can play TV. :)

Thats the only reason I turn it off is to watch TV.
