PlayStation Network: more than 8 million downloads |

If you're always interested with what's new on Sony's PlayStation Network, then this article is definifitely good news. The company has just made it known that its online service has just surpassed eight million downloads.Aside from this whopping number, Sony also added that the PSN has now more than three million registered accounts.
With this latest feat that Sony has achieved, Jack Tretton had this to say about it: "Coming off a great holiday sales season we see strong momentum behind PS3 in 2008, and feel confident about the year ahead."
In addition to what Tretton mentioned, he also added,
We have Blu-ray emerging as the de facto high def standard, the developer community is hitting their stride, consumers are recognising the tremendous value and innovative services such as PlayStation Home are all in the works, so this is definitely shaping up to be a breakthrough year for us
Things are definitely looking up for Sony this year. This could actually be a hint of the things that Sony could achieve this year. Better keep your eyes glued to our site as we will be bringing in more news about the developments happening with the company.

anyway is just the millions of PSN users downloading the same... thats the downloads.. not things to download...

How dumb are you? They mean that things from their store have been downloaded more than 8 million times.
I don't care what ANYONE says, Sony has got their ***** together. Blu-Ray has pretty much obliterated HD DVD, and has sold tons of consoles over the holidays...And the lineup for 2008 is just crazy awesome. 2008 will be a good year.
By these download or PSN subscriber number's they always seem so low. 8 mil that 1-3 items per ps3, I have downloaded nearly 20 different things. It just shocks me, out of the number of people I know with PS3, only like half even have it online. I'm was talking to a guy at my job about downloading movies off the internet. I tell him 'you got a ps3 right, just burn your divx movies to a cd, or copy to a mem stick a play it.'
He called me later that night and said it did not work. He had never hooked his playstation to the internet, much less know about firmware updates. Lots of people don't even know you can download demos and such for free, it's amazing.
