PlayStation Magazine: Red Dead Redemption has the greatest multiplayer lobby ever

Someone's mighty impressed with Red Dead Redemption. PlayStation Magazine just dubbed Rockstar's Wild West themed title as "The Greatest Multiplayer Lobby in the History of VideoGames". Awesome.

The lobby, in case you didn't quite get it, is actually a fully playbale version of the whole game populated by both CPU and live gamers.

 

 

The PSM also highlighted several features:

  • Create a "posse" and roam freely about the map
  • Engage in hunting wild animals, to hunting other gamers
  • ad hoc missions (like besieging a desert ranch filled with bandits)
  • Gain experience points which can be used to customize appearance and upgrade horse, weapons and "title"
  • Unlock new multiplayer modes like the standard 16-player deathmatch and team based "capture the bag"

 

 

If you've neglected this title up until this point, this raving feature of the magazine should help you change your mind.

Funny, I said a few months ao to friends: Next GTA multiplayer should be the single player world, but populated by players. Dong missions and having other players doing missions as well. Help out each other or actually having missions one against another.
