PlayStation Home: video sharing cut from beta |

While PlayStation Home still has loads of other features to enjoy, it's still a bummer to find out that video sharing has been taken out of the open beta. No news on whether or not the feature will make it into the final version either.
The video sharing feature was supposed to let gamers share movies with their friends in their own virtual apartments, just like in real life. Unfortunately, this is virtual life, and such a feature might be stepping over legal boundaries.
Jack Buser, the director of PlayStation Home, reveals that they are still "looking into" adding the feature. According to Wired.com, Buser described the feature saying that "Sony's approach to 'user-generated content' was likely to be more of a 'Lego-block' structure, in which Sony gives users the parts and lets them create what they want."

first of all lets me tell ya a short story
was in america on holidays, decided to get ps3
it was only £250 instead of £500, if i bought it where i lived
so go into the sony store they say the ps3 isnt region, great i thought, went into gamestop to buy one, was told it may not work, i wanted to make sure so decided to ask another sony store, people who get commision can never be trusted
so i wanted to ask as many people as possible
went to macys the guy said it would difinately not work, and that they where just trying to con you as it was
so i was like ok thanks
went home, got on the net searched
and now i want to grab that macys worker and slam his head against the glass, i guess he thought he was doing the right things but still he was wrong
ok go buy the ps3 and smyths for £500 ffs, because it was september and wanted to get ready for GTA4 AND HOME,
what the ***** do you know, its delayed both of them, the only ones i was interested, the next day the ps3 went down by £100. and nothing came out for the ps3 for another year (im talking about what is coming out, some good games are starting now)
now you may say ps2 titles and movies are region locked, but i dont care for any of them, therefore y 60gb ps3 with b/c is just the same to the new 60gb, which are much cheaper
oh and gta4 came out what a dissapointment,
and once again sony way over hypes there product HOME, i dont care for it anymore but i was still a bit excited to get videos up, no illegale videos, but just to replace BEBO i hate it, but everyone i know uses it
so ya i got *****ed big time, and this just adds more insult to injury
thanks sony

That's why. They don't want children to see porn and all that *****. That's just asking for a lawsuit. It would have been great though...
