Qore - Image 1We've waited for PlayStation Home for so long now that some of you might think that it's only a myth.

For those who want to prove to themselves that it's not, better grab the November issue of Qore as it will give annual subscribers and one-off purchasers an invite to the closed beta.

No better time than the present to get an invite too. According to TedTheDog, community manager in the PlayStation forums, v1.0 of Home is already in internal testing and will hit the closed beta in the coming weeks. True to form, no specific date was given. It's like a tradition for any news on Home now.

Home is pants. Nothing special, no point to it.

Home has been on the "waiting list" for so long im no longer caring about it. Its worthless and pointless.

I wouldn't pay for an annual subscription, just to get into HOME Closed Beta, when HOME is out in a few weeks anyway.

» no subscription needed

you just need to get Nov's Qore issue, no subscription needed. Seems like Sony is just trying to play the closed beta thing a bit harder to make a few extra bucks to guarantee people access to the beta instead of holding raffles. Maybe it'll be worth it, but I doubt it. I'm gonna buy a PS Store card to buy MM9 and the DLC for Warhawk so i might as well use whats left on something.

I understand where you are coming from but the difference between you and me is that I still hold interest. I have a Qore subscription and to all of the haters of Qore I just think of it as a magazine subscription. Remember the good old days where magazines would leave a demo disc in the packaging. I know that some still provide a demo disk today but you get my point. Comparing a magazine to Qore you still might consider that crazy because magazines have WAY more content inside them, but I don't really care as it doesn't matter how much content is in it, its what articles interest me that matter. Anyway, back to the subject on home. If this is true I can't wait to get my beta key as I would love to try out home.

Reread my post.

All I'm saying is, it's so close, I'm not gonna buy Qore. I can't anyway, as I'm in the UK. I'm still really interested in HOME though.

I know I'm gonna spend hours in it:)

im interested in home still, ive been stockpiling images for picture frames and what not. But its so close that it doesnt warrant a qore purchase. especially now that i have fifa 09 and LBP

» Home just a gimmick as is

I have been in the Home beta for a couple months now and to be honest, it is not all that great at the moment. Sure they have added stuff but overall, you do the same thing over and over again in it. It is kinda cool to be able to roam around and meet and have casual talk to people but that's about all that's a really interesting hook at the moment. I hope Sony goes all out for the release and fix the bugs in it and have way more things to do than whats currently available.

» Hey, "Meh Guys"

If you don't care, don't post. None of us care about you not caring.

As for me, I tried the beta a while ago and it's not what I expected. The trailers that they recently released; a lot of that content wasn't even in there. Maybe it'll be there in 1.00 though. I'll try it when they move up to that version.

» The Home Beta Theme??

So the theme I downloaded a many weeks back that said all you had to do and download the theme to register for beta does what????

by Ron Overdrive - 2008-10-27 11:17
» theme

That was to APPLY to get into the pre-1.0 beta. Now that its 1.0 they're guaranteeing you access to the 1.0 Release Candidate so you can do things before anyone else. It's only like $3 or something like that so I might as well get it.

» LOL

the only reason sony is selling beta keys in qore and exclusive 2 the states is because sony know that americans are stupid enough to pay for a demo which is what betas are demos nothing more and thats why europe and the rest of the world are smarter then americans if you agree put i agree if not i couldnt care less.

youre a retard, if people want to pay 3 USD to get in a little early and work on their virtual apartments or whatever and avoid launch day server woes then how does that make them stupid? I pay more than 3 dollars for a cup of coffee every day.

by PS3 OUTSIDER - 2008-10-28 02:33
» prime example

Congrats m8 you just proved my point you pay 3 dollars for coffee and are using that as your main defense. For one its completely off topic to my original comment and 2 what does the price of coffee have to do with the games industry. lol

p.s I see the amazing american educational system still works. lol

^^^PS3 Outsider:

Why don't you stop your b****ing and just create a NA PSN account. I have a Euro account for releases that have yet to reach our shores. You can purchase a PSN Promo Card online and use the funds off that to purchase NA products. Since the Euro is still $1 USD -> .75 EURO you will be saving money. Unless your using the GBP, I can't recall what the exchange rate is for that currency.
