PlayStation Home unveils Media and Events Space with PS Day re-run

PlayStation Home's lucky, lucky beta testers were treated to a virtual re-run of PlayStation Home: PlayStation Day venue added to PlayStation Network - Image 1 PlayStation Home: PlayStation Day venue added to PlayStation Network - Image 2 PlayStation Home: PlayStation Day venue added to PlayStation Network - Image 3


PlayStation Day 2008 in a new virtual event venue called the Media and Events Space. The virtual space recreated the product showcases featured in the event held last May 6 in London.

Although the virtual space wasn't modeled after the actual physical venue, it was decked out with elements from the real-world event. The space held showcases like a photo gallery of games developers, and jumbo screen of the speeches from the event.

The re-run of PlayStation Day served as a test-run of the venue, which will be used as Home's common room of sorts for media events. The Media and Events Space will be used for everything from game unveilings to sports events, and even fashion shows.

The Space won't be just exclusive to Sony either. Both first- and third-party groups will be able to host productions within the Space in the future. The Space certainly has a lot of prospects. Maybe they'll even host virtual conventions in the Space in the future.
