There seems to be a healthy supply of mini games in store for prospective users. We really like how the environments are looking right now even though it's all still in beta form. Some reports say that the camera is a little bit shaky at this stage, though it's all still unconfirmed.

It looks like the PSP will really have a significant part in the world to come, whether in virtual unit form or the actual unit hopping aboard.. The bowling and the pool games can be fun when meeting and chilling with online buddies. We're all excited about the developments and we'll fill you in for more when news is forthcoming.

This is a cool idea that they are working on - and I cannot wait to see it evolve.

It isn't much in it's current form - as it is the beta, let alone the FIRST beta. I am sure they will go through phases of betas before it hits public.

Cannot wait.

I hope Sony allows you to put full movies in your space so you could invite friends to come visit and watch with you. I also wonder how they will address internet bandwidth issues if these movies can be played in high def.

# Sony choose the wrong peopleGuest 2007-05-05 21:10
It seems Sony got hold of the wrong people for this beta, considering data is being leaked every day basically.

Now I´ve been in lots of betas, got my name in quite a few credit lists, and íf anyone ever leaked anything from those trials they were immediately banned and legal action taken.

Chances are Sony are *leaking* these images themselves. Its not that hard to track an IP, in fact, you can get peoples home addresses from IPs. Its my bet Sony is doing this so they can build up hype, cause lets face it, Sony needs all they hype they can get right now lol.

# these 'leaks' are way orchestratedcomedy 2007-05-05 23:47
like the fact that the columbia emblem is shown and spiderman is quite obviously there... sony much?

sony want 'buzz' over home, and by sneakily 'leaking' pictures people think they're vicariously stealing a glimpse, so the buzz heightens... still i can't see why people wouldn't be excited!

now if only i had some ps3 friends :(

This for me really looks interesting .. I have friends that live on the other side of the planet and its going to be nice to be able to not only chat with them , but interact with them in this virtual world .

I think its a plus for ps3 users , im really glad that sony's working hard on it .

people who make fun of home and PS3 are just immature and jealous, get over it i own all three consoles and PS3 is by far my favorite, each one has their uses and Xbox has Halo... needless to say the PS3 is the only console that is Internally Superior to all three, and the Wii is just a joke, its a cop out excuse for nintendo's failings they sacrifice modern graphics for gimmicks... gimmicks that lose that become a novelty in no time what so ever... motion sensing becomes overated and i wish the Sixaxis didnt do so.. Nintendo are not Pioneering Gaming they are turning it into a conventional thing, n00bs now play games regularly WTF?

So its second life, right? Seems like it would interfere w/ actually getting into retail games.

I would compare calling home, second life to call oblivion; medieval GTA

home:second life::Oblivion: medieval GTA

Is what I am now. I wasn't too ecstatic at the announcement, moreso because LittleBigPlanet took all of my excitement. That'd be cool if you could upload your LBP video into your home and have people watch it. I'd be ashamed of developers if Sony got this game running at 1080P, for free. I wonder if EA is debating the value of actually making a Sims game for PS3 now, jaja. But overall, this game is starting to appeal to me now. And that would be cool if you could upload full-length movies and invite friends over to watch them, chucking...
