Well it was bound to happen sooner or later. This time it was just sooner rather than later. Someone finally managed to exploit the vulnerabilities of PlayStation Home, and found a way to put it to some use. It's a simple hack that allows you to change posters and movies in Home.

Tipster aetharr explains that this probably won't affect everyone in the server, but if you're willing to use your console as a host and share your IP address with other folks, then you could probably make it show up in their systems as well.

Here are some vids demonstrating the mods. My favorite is the second one showing Home LOL posters:

It's not a user-friendly hack to be sure, and it's not exactly worth the risk of messing up your system for, but if you're bored and you really want to customize your Home experience, then give it a shot. Instructions for the mod can be found after the source link below.

Thanks to aetharr for the heads up!

nuuu xD

Nuuu i meant, as you have to set your PC up as the server... if you're willing to share your PC's ip address, ( and the server app would have to stay running all the time ) Either way :P im gonna test it later with my friend xD It'll make dancing in the square a little more fun... thinking of whacking this song up XD http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=4pXfHLUlZf4

Ineresting...

It will be interesting if they can use it for an exploit of some sort. Otherwise, it's pretty pointless. Good luck running a public server off your internet connection, even the best ones would have people sitting there forever downloading movies....especially if 100+ people are in your server. Cool proof of concept though...
