PlayStation Home: Beta Trial site loaded |

As a follow-up to yesterday's PlayStation Home announcement (and included trailers), Sony has just launched a site to herald the upcoming Beta release of this PlayStation Network-based online community. The site currently only hosts the Home Beta Trial Agreement page, as well as the customary Privacy Policy/Terms and Conditions section, though new content is of course expected to be added within the next few months.PlayStation Home, according to the site's description, will provide PS3 owners with an online community to "interact, communicate, join online games, shop, share content and even build their own personal spaces". The service is bound to be released as a free download by Fall of this year.
For those wondering about the service's sign-up mechanics, be reminded that you have to be at least 18 years old to participate. There is also the requisite Non-disclosure agreement, so just keep in mind that you won't be able to share your Home Beta experience with the world just yet. Sign-ups are also expected to begin soon, so watch out for it.

Jumping up this PS3 Home thing ! you really are in need of games on this console, if you want this type of thing then just search on the system you are using right now THE PC, there are hundreds of these virtual things and most are free(apart from buying STUPID pictures of furniture etc which is exactly what you will have to do on the PS3) and they have been going a long while and will be much more bug free.
At the end of the home demonstration at GDC Harrison said that the final version is in the fall but the mass beta will be available in april, next month.

you must not be a beta tester. I'm Sony G.A.P. and the Home Beta is for anyone who has a ps3.
you'l be eating those words when ps3 sale goes thru the roof. But you know the one thing about fanboys like this?? how can you bash a system so hard when it's only about 5 months old. How can you get an accurate perception that it's a dud already. you're talking about graphics when the cell hasn't even been tapped and it's kicking xbox's ass in calculations to produce those graphics and data. Imagine when it gets cracked open like PSP's firmware. Maybe this you can understand:
XBox 360 is built like the playstation used to (Why the hell are the memory modules so big but sony's are small and portable???) Not much really changed from the first XBox except better graphics and wireless and the console design. Almost everything else is nothing new. Sony's approach comes from the japanese market, not american like microsoft and it's shows. If you took a serious look into the japanese culture, you would see they're big on technology. They're too smart. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing 360 because I played that b4 I got my ps3. Why turn your back on playstation when they were around LONG before microsoft even thought about gaming (The Playstation was the result of a falling out between SONY and NINTENDO. P.S. sony and nintendo both have consoles AND handhelds while Microsoft has NOT produced a handheld YET. So where excatly does MS stand??? They don't have the technology to shrink the console which further shrinks into a handheld. It's the same approach PS and nintendo used. The psp is a handheld PS2. Ever wondered why sony kept shrinking consoles???) So I ask you this question: If sony and nintendo were sharing tecnology back then to build a console, where the hell did microsoft come from??? Can you honestly keep saying sony "copied" stuff from XBOX??
Next time you bash, have an intellectual reason for your statement as yours is biased.
P.S. I have a PS3 and I want a Wii too. I'm a gamer, a tech-savy gamer. That's why PS3 was made for thousands of people who embrace technology and accept moving into the future in gaming. i'm just mad at the fact that Xbox and Xbox360 almost behave in the same way. The only thing I see is the better graphics and XBL didn't chage that much. Now look at the PS1, PS2, PS3 and look at the differences in each console. The main thing that is keeping XBOX360 up is the DirectX technology. That 's were the X in Xbox comes from: DIRECTX (Direct X suuuuucks). It was originally gonna be called the DirectXbox but the name was too long. I bet a lot of 360 fanboys didn't know that........
with the latest moron bashing. Are you F-in Kidding me? You think that buying a new console every three years is a good thing?? What is wrong with you!!! Xbox comes out in november 02- x360 comes out in nov 05... But you think that this is all a good thing. You have to keep spending your money on weak improvements when sony releases one GREAT console every 5-7 years (95-2000-2007). Each one is still great to play up to and through the next versions release. but OOH the PS3 is so expensive, Waaaaahhhh. So you spend $700 on an X360 with accessories, and in just 3 years, you have to buy a new one, because as usual microsoft doesn't provide backward compatibility. STUPID.

My Ps3 is not a dud as it replaced my Laptop with XP. Not my fault you can't program to save your life.
do some research. google even....... PS3 was designed to last 10 years. Dimwit. That's why there's firmware updates. No need to buy another console to update firmware like 360 users have to do when "Zyphr" (XBox360 v2) is released. I read up on ALL consoles. Your arguement holds no water in my court.
