PlayStation Day 08: Motorstorm Pacific Rift details revealed |

As you may already know, Evolution Studios' MotorStorm Pacific Rift is one of the games being featured in the PlayStation Day 08. The creative lead of the game, Paul Hollywood, gave out a few details regarding this game that you may not know about yet.As seen in our previous coverage of MotorStorm Pacific Rift, the game takes place on a tropical island complete with waterfalls (which can cool down your ride), a volcano, and various plants that could possibly hinder your progress. Here's what Hollywood had to say:
The island is now your greatest enemy, challenging you to hack your way through thick vegetation; teeter on the edge of towering cliffs; plough through tropical waters; and escape the deadly volcanic interior.
Gamers will also get a new vehicle to play with: a monster truck. It is a climber, racer, and can sprint. However, cornering may be a bit difficult. Much to our delight, the vehicle lives up to its name since it can also be used to crush smaller vehicles.
Speaking of crushing smaller vehicles, MotorStorm Pacific Rift will have a four-player split-screen mode and 16-player online races so you can crush your friends on and offline. In addition, helping keep things fresh will be the game's 16 different race tracks.
