Playstation Blog: Warhawk Patch 1.4 to carry new game modes

We gotta hand it to Incognito Entertainment - they're going the extra mile to ensure that Warhawk's fun factor stays fresh. And even while we're still all oohs and ahhs over patch 1.3 for April, the devs are already laying down hints at what's to come for patch 1.4.

According to Game Director Dylan Jobe, Warhawk's patch 1.4 is expected to bring in some new game modes. To quote his exact statement during an inquiry by one of the commenters:

We have a lot of new designs at various phases of development so I canÂ’t say which ones will make the cut for the v 1.4 patch just yetÂ…but rest assure that the next patch *will* have new modes, and of course, they will be free.

That's all Jobe had to say for the moment. Stick around in case we receive any more information regarding Warhawk's game patch 1.4. Then again, that could be a while, given that even 1.3's release date is yet to be confirmed.

Something a little more original than the same 4 modes available in every iteration of every multiplayer of every single shooter in existence would be quite welcome.

I'd say Warhawk does those 4 modes better than pretty much every other game in existence.. but never the less.. something new please!

the video they put out about v1.3 at the end it says 04-02-08, so that means its in ONE WEEK FROM TODAY!!!

The Crackle trailer confirmed 1.3 for 4.2.8.

He says that as if I didn't have to dish out 9 bucks for Omega Dawn. Nine dollars well spent I must say, so I'd probably pay if they tried to do that with this one too.

Can't wait for the new modes, I would love to see King of the Hill and possibly dogfight maps that also feature one dropship on each side? I'm getting ahead of myself now.

all patches for warhawk have been free. the only thing we had to pay for was the omega dawn booster pack.

I like the fact that they are constantly working on new content. I was afraid that when I purchased the game, some small details would be added and then you would not see any new content until the next Warhawk came out!

a gamemode kind of like from Battlefield 2142 for the PC. Titan mode - You'd have to capture these missle silos and let them attact your enemy's Titan (a huge air ship, somthing Warhawk could easily do). You keep attacking it untill the sheild goes down then you shoot all the way up in the sky and land on their titan and break it from the inside. It's one of the craziest game modes I've played so far because theres battles all over the ground and on the titan (and even defending your own titan).

Ever since I played that gamemode I feel like games today really dont try and be creative with new types of game modes, they just take stuff from other games and add one or two things to it...
