No tricks about it - PixelJunkies get a Halloween treat from Q-Games. If schedules fall into place, a new patch for PixelJunk Monsters and PixelJunk Monsters: Encore will be going live come October 30 for both North America and Europe.

There's quite a lot in store for everyone (sorry, though, no screenshot support just yet), and just to give you a peek at its changelog, here's what the new pacth will bring:
  • Game difficulty settings
  • Tower menu selection
  • Tower balancing
  • Video Recording/YouTube support
  • XMB custom soundtrack support
  • Trophy support
You can head to the PlayStation blog (see Via link) to check out SCEA-Santa Monica Studios associate producer Matt Morton's post about the specifics of the new features.

since it has custom music support and youtube support, does that mean that whatever song we are playing right then is recorded with it? *prepares captain planet theme song*

Havn't thought of that. Perhaps? There's legal rights in that tho... I mean, playing PJM with metallica in there might get someone a bit angry? I dunno.

I'm excited for the update! It's making an already great game better!
