Pics galore: PS3 finally launches in Korea |

Korea, home of thousands of MMORPGs and professional gamers, finally gets its console gaming fix with the launch of PS3 this Saturday. After selling 200 units in three minutes, the hype over Sony's hot machine continues. Here are some pics of the event, thanks to Ruliweb.
These guys have something to be happy about - not only will they be getting 80GB units, but QWERTY keyboards to come with the package. Just look at the smiles of those big boys holding their boxes while being surrounded by cute promo girls.
People not planning to grab a PS3 just yet also had a chance to test out some games. Quite a variety of Blu-ray movies were also up for grabs.
With such a warm reception, will StarCraft finally have some solid competition to win hearts of gamers? Won't be surprising to see 'gosu' players on PSN sometime soon. What do you think?

Yeah Sympathy For MR. Vengence would be a great blu-ray movie, as would Oldboy and Lady Vengence, having the trilogy on blu-ray would be great. JSA, Public Enemy,H, The Host etc... Korean movies are getting better and better, they should have a few on blu-ray soon.
I was watching this show on discovery HD. Gamers in South korea are worshipped. 25,000 people came to watch 2 guys play starcraft. Gamers are the celebs in south korea. There some of the richest people to. Gaming in korea is just crazy.

I saw that too, I thought it was quite funny and was amazed same time. Those Starcraft cyber athletes over their there had chicks in the crowd cheering them on with signs and stuff. Its funny how the cyber athletes over there live in same house with their clan mates/trainers, have a special diets and work out.
