From the PETA Files online blog, we quote an excerpt from an author's reaction to the God of War promotional event (i.e. the dead-goat-and-boobies pics):I've always sided with the video game industry against the Jack Thompsons of this world who are out to make a name for themselves by blaming gamers for all of society's problems, but when a company of Sony's stature goes out of its way to commit an act of senseless violence for a promotion, you have to start questioning whether they have any concern at all about the message they're sending to fans.
Comments to this blog post from other PETA blog readers seem to echo the author's thoughts. From an "I just don't have words for this. Sick, sick, perverted people. Will this world ever change?" comment from Judith to a "Sony has enough problems without letting the idiotic do something like this. Someone was asleep at the wheel at Sony!" remark from Kelly.

When authers start making statements in their posts
about things I've said in prior threads. :) It lets me know
they read me. Well... a blank dark square instead of
images of muppet goats and black censor bars all over
creation looks better. Maybe I should become a QJnet

Lol, it gets me laughing that one of them trys to make us
feel sorry for their punk ass PETA org. by saying "I've

low blow as if they really could identify and uses it as
leverage aginst the gaming industry. Thats a move

Its one thing for someone who is starving in a 3rd world country to slaughter a goat because theyre actually going to eat it. Its a whole different story when they slaughter a goat just to use its dead corpse as a centerpiece for a promotional ad.
How would you feel if someone just came up and cut your throat and let you bleed to death just so you could be the front page shot on a newspaper thats trying to get publicity? Im pretty sure you would have felt like you just died for no real reason, and it would definately ruin your day.
You probably still dont get the point to the whole thing, so ill just stop wasting my breath.

Don't he an idiot. The goat came from a butcher already dead in the most humane manner ever. They used a large amount of the goat in their little production.
If you've ever eaten a hamburger in your life or thrown away a loaf of moldy bread you're a total hypocrite.
It's not so much that they are over reacting as much as it is they are reacting late. This HAS been circling around for some time now.

I used to work on my uncle's farm and he had himself a few goats.
GOATS SUCK. They stink, they like to ram you and they taste good in Goat soup.

..PETA are such a shady organization. It's ridiculous how glorified they are in the media. If you want to make a difference in the world, start caring MORE for HUMANS than animals. Animals can't make a difference for themselves? Wake up! Neither can over a BILLION PEOPLE on this planet! Caring for Animal Rights is great. Putting the rights of animals above the rights of fellow human beings is just sick.

plants are living organisms too. Plants are just as alive as animals. They have defense mechanisms, they get sick, they also evolve. Some plants evolve to become meat eaters too, like venus fly trap, and the pitcher plant. Maybe we shouldn't be eating anything that didn't die of natural cause. We should just be like vultures and eat dead animals rotting on the street.
I'm gonna eat three! :-P
