No offense. That's ugly though. Red and the blue one. Just stick with black/white.
first off i wanna say thankyou qj for posting this, im glad i can get a chance for some critique, and to the first poster, yea i wanted matalic red but regular red was all the store had so i settled, and its much redder(is that a word) in person the pic doesnt do it justice and makes it look more orange
The front page pic shows the Sony and the Start,Select lettering unpainted then I saw your pic and its painted.. I guess you have to paint over them and not cover it up some how.. Nice work though.
i dont like the words on the faceplate that much anyway so it was painlesss for me to cover it but i probably could have kept it on
It's not even the fact it's red but the paint job is spotless and clean. I tried painting a 360 controller when I still had one and it came out dabbed almost everywhere. Lol. I have no words of advice because the red is nicely done but a suggestion that I'd do for myself if I was holding that same controller, add black decals on it. Designs y'know? Aside from that, great work Fade3e!
It's probably just the picture that makes it look worse than it is, but personally, I would have gone for a much darker red, probably with a clear gloss coat over the top. I like my stuff shiny.
the actual controller looks almost as dark as the article picture, and i didnt add any gloss because the controller is actually more comfprtable this way i noticed it is slightly more grippy so theres less sliding out of my hand
thankyou and yea thats actually a great idea to add some black decals on it, it would def help fill the void that was the sony select start branding
Its not original walmart.com has blue and red ones listed so who cares there ugly anyways so quit trying to be kool like you made something original Fade3e
I was wrong there at gamestop they have red, blue, black, and silver so there its not original Fade3e

i didnt know, and when was i trying to be cool? if you actully read the article the reason i asked for this to be posted was so i could get some critisizm on on my controller, and as far as some other posters have said that the color isnt the signifigant part its the quality of the paintjob, now if you have something contructive about my controller to say, then ill be glad to listen
yea im not sure what color to make my next one, pink would be cool ;) but im thinking forest green
that would be beast...but if I did that I would get slapped by my friend...she hates pink

i didnt know spray paint was a mod now.
its with the dictionary ha just kidding, mod is short for modify so yes modifing the color would fall under mod, heck so would gluing tinsel to it
