Parasite Eve for the next-gen console in the works, and other rumors |

Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM) rumor meister Quartermann has a bunch of rumors that are sure to warm eager gamers' hearts...if only we have any way of confirming these rumors. Quartermann reports that Epic Games and Sony are working closely together regarding the Unreal Engine 3 license to improve its performance on PlayStation 3. Epic Games, Quartermann adds, may also be funding a PS3-exclusive game.
Fans brokenhearted over the announcement that Parasite Eve 3 is a mobile phone game may find comfort in Quartermann's report that a Parasite Eve title for the console is already in development.
Also, the Q has sniffed out some info that Hideo Kojima (of Metal Gear Solid and Zone of the Enders franchise fame) is working on another PS3-exclusive game.
There's another rumor but it got thoroughly debunked by Sony themselves: that Sony is working on a Wii-fied PlayStation 3 controller. Sony had this to say about that one: "This rumor is absolutely not true. There are currently no plans to add motion-sensing capability to the PlayStation 2 controller."
Sounds awfully final, so there won't be any chances there. Let's just hope that none of the Qmann's other rumors will be trashed...all of them sound sweet at the moment.

Yay! Huge fan of Parasite Eve! This is going to be great!
Parasite eve 1 is one of most beutiful experiences,i was wishing for the 3rd for a long time

Not one time in the article does it mention Microsoft or Xbox360. It hints more that it could be a PS3 exclusive...
most likely it will be a ps3 exclusive, they put it hear maybe to see what we are missing?? yea I'm gonna get a ps3 but when mgs 4 comes out this is 1 more reason to get a ps3 :)
I dunno if this is a particularly good source to rest your hopes upon, but if these things are true, then thats a lot of good PS3 action coming up.
The 2nd was really bad, it looked like a resident evil wanna be and not a parasite eve. But the 1st was one of the best games to ever grace my ps1, so I'd be VERY happy to see a parasite eve 3 on the ps3
Yes parasite eve 1 is the best,
Parasite Eve was one of my most favorite games. It was original, and truly had a gothic feel to it (considering it was in the Big NY). Not to mention you kind of fall in love with the story as well with Maya. I have no intention of purchasing a PS3, but if this is exclusive, it may very well change my mind. I hope its multi, but it doesn't seem like it will be. All well, I suppose PS3 isn't all bad then.
I was just about to restart PE1 the other day but I need to find another PS1 memory card to save it :/

I want it from Ratchet & Clank (& GTA of course).. I dont really play much sports games... maybe All Pro 2k8
I'm also a Parasite Eve fan. Loved the first one...more than the second one but...man...with this new generation of machines (I'm looking at the PS3 because that is where PE3 will most likely land) the graphics will be awesome!
I wouldn't hold my breath. EGM's rumors are usually 95% wrong. I'm still waiting for Soul Calibur III on the 360, thanks Quartermann.
PE on mobile phone made me cry. PE on next gen will make me cream my pants. PE1 was incredible while PE2 was decent (Had its own unique style but it didn't pull together) I really want to see what happened between Aya and Kyle if anything did happen. The best ending hinted on something but I must know what happened. Just make it like PE1 just better!!! Please Please Please.
