Did you see the Page 3 girls inside? - Image 1Sony had more than a big discount and free HDTVs to bare in their UK launch in Oxford. They also had Page 3 girls spicing up the scene and adding pizazz to their launch night.

While the crowd was small if compared to the launches of its rivals, that didn't make the night any less eventful as the lucky buyers took home their new consoles and TVs in cabs, also provided by Sony.

The night started on a high note as the Page 3 girls unveiled the game machine with some rather stimulating visuals. The PS3 went for £ 425  that night and a considerable number was plucked out of the shelves in a jiffy.

Cops were also in the scene to ensure the security of the crowd from muggers and other possible hazards. Some of the units are now being auctioned in eBay, though it must be noted that the exorbitantly priced ones failed to attract bidders.

thats smart of sony to give out HDTVs to PS3 buyers, thats good PR, ensures that more PS3 owners r playing their games the way its meant to be played (in HD) AND it like ensures (assuming) that they will buy Bluray movies to go wit their HDTVs. I have a HDTV and im sorry, but DVD aint doing it for me anymore, once i seen them Bluray dvd trailers (casino royal. O.O OMG) im not gonna be buyin no more DVDs. This gen, its all about Black (ps3) and Blu
