Aside from the HD graphics, OutRun Online Arcade will feature 15 courses, 10 fully licensed Ferrari rides, and multiplayer support for up to six players. The Xbox 360 version will feature achievements and voice. The PS3 version will come with trophies, VoIP, and leaderboards.
OutRun Online Arcade is being handled by Sumo Digital, the same guys behind GTi Club+, and will be available early next year. In the meantime, check out the trailer below for some crazy drifts.

The other thing is Outrun on the xbox 1 is emulated on the 360 anyway. I guess it's a chance for PS3 owners to buy into the franchise though (I don't think the PS2 was powerful enough to run it when it came out for the xbox1). I also heard a rumour that the arcade version of outrun which was available for the xbox1 actually used some xbox hardware to run with. So it was a no brainer for Sumo to port it to the xbox1.

There was another one that was pretty similar released in 2006 too, called "outrun 2006: coast to coast" so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
I really hate having the same stuff regurgitated though.

So Ps2 did have a version of this too?? I guess there's no backwards compatibility though, and maybe I should give Sega the benefit of the doubt that they haven't just used some scaler to up the res on their graphics.
