Monster Madness: Battle for Suburbia for the PC and the Xbox 360 is set to conquer US store shelves on April 3 (Europe will get it earlier on March 30).

This release date tidbit came directly from the game's publisher, SouthPeak Interactive, so there's a tinge of truth in there. Anyhow, if you had fun with the create-a-monster contest, you should remember that the game itself is jam-packed with multiplayer features. It allows up to four players to battle a monster invasion in a suburban setting and if four is too few for you, the game will also feature multiplayer online battles for up to 16 players.

50 monster enemies, 12 boss monsters, unlockable content, and competitive split-screen play for up to four are said to be in the final game.

Gaming sites PunchJump (and then PS3 Fanboy and DCEmu) report that the game is also coming out to the PS3. On the other hand, different sources on the Internet say that Monster Madness is (or has been) expected for the PS3 but has not been officially confirmed for the PS3.

We should clarify that the press release from SouthPeak (that we got yesterday) did not mention the PS3. Furthermore, the Monster Madness official site only has the Xbox 360 logo (no PS3 logo). We'll dish out more updates as things become clearer in the coming days.
