Lost Planet 2 Capcom - Image 1It sure is a wonder why publishers just can't give a straight out answer. Is Lost Planet 2 (Xbox 360, PC) coming to the PS3 as well? Capcom has been especially cryptic on this one, strictly keeping a lid on the answer.

The Official PlayStation Magazine, however, reportedly just blew that lid off with a confirmation. Yes, Lost Planet 2 is coming to the PS3 as well.

Allegedly, the article in the magazine says, "... Capcom has since confusingly refused to confirm on the record what Lost Planet 2 is coming out on. Whatever guy. We can tell you that it is definitely going to be released on PS3."

As Scorned would say at the QJ forums, them's fighting words. Am personally leaning towards believing the OPM, but still. It's not official till we get it from the horse's mouth. At least there's a silver lining out there, right?

Don't worry. We'll be sure to update you on this as we get more info.

Didn't OPM disappear into the nethers during the big game magazine die off a few months ago? I thought the only magazine that is officially endorsed by Sony is PTOM (ie Playstation the Official Magazine) which used to be Playstation the 100% unofficial magazine. Just wanna throw that out there. But can't wait to see if this is indeed correct. WOOT and I agree with you Deadly.

Sorry microsoft.

but u suck.

paying rockstar games off for the DLC was bs and its coming back to hit u in the butt, cause we may even get that eventually.

and now another great game is coming to the ps3.

but to be honest who didnt see this coming? the first lost planet got released on the ps3, and now this.

See developers are starting to realize that sony's box can churn out some crazy stuff.. guess we'll just have to see

They've both been paying companies off for exclusive rights and rights in on exclusives. They wont stop here. I'm not surprised at all. I wouldn't be surprised if inFamous ended up on 360 either. Thats just how it is now companies are going to have to rely on 1st party game exclusives if they want to have anything remain exclusive for long. Since Microsoft's 1st party studios are non existent their strategy is just signing the bigger check. Sony is just getting more aggressive now that's all.

IN YOUR FACE!!!!

But maybe it's still a timed exclusive. Just because it's coming to PS3 as well doesn't mean we see a simultaneous release.
