OPM reveals more details on Haze |
Ó
Free Radical's Haze (PC, 360, PS3) is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated titles this generation. We already found out that the game is aiming for a very immersive experience by throwing emotions at the players. That said, we're still talking about the developers in Timesplitters fame here. Awesome weapons and cool vehicles are bound to be there, along with other nifty features.Free Radical promised some eye-candy through parallel processing, and it looks like they'll deliver. OPM got their hands on the game and caught some details. Flames burn on the grass and buildings, action is faster than it was on E3, stages can be so big that just walking around can take more than an hour - Haze is definitely not lacking on the aesthetics side.
Among the vehicles revealed were APCs and buggies, while the remote-controlled grenade took most interest from the weapons department. Whoever played the game for OPM sure got emotions, or rather frustrations while trying to cover civilians.
Finally, scriptwriter Rob Yescombe stated that the game's story is inspired by Metal Gear Solid. The writer admires Hideo Kojima's complex ideas and how he gives people something to think about.
More info as they come, so watch this space.

seems good enough.
He better be inspired by Kojima, the guys is freakin awsome! MGS AND HAZE FTW!! Oh and Halo too. XD
coming out for ps3 first then if the 360 version is powwerful enough it will come out a whole year later so dont even get your hopes up microsoft!!!!!
I can see you practice the religious art of fanboyism. lol I got a PS3 too but XBOX 360 dont suck that bad.
Whats so special about this game? I see nothing new really.
"I can see you practice the religious art of fanboyism." The PS3 is only slightly more powerful than the 360, and so comments like his are really dumb. Haze will probably look and perform every bit as good on the 360 as it does on the PS3, because even if the PS3 has a slight advantage from being the lead format, the devs would have had extra time to optimise the game by the time it's released for the 360 and PC.
Hideo is a legend in what he does, Haze will be awsome because the writer has come to realise Hideos greatness and he will follow in his footsteps
the real reason its being released later on the X360 is because there are gonna be so many top games coming out on X360 around the release of HAZE - that it wont sell as many copys as when games like HALO, Bioshock, Mass Effect etc. have been on store shelves for a month or two.
do you think haze will be good on a 5 gig dvd or a big fat juicy blu-ray, thats why you *****es cant get lair
1. It's being made by free radical. 2. It has a indepth story mode. 3. This is going to include things we hardly ever see. The nectar thing is an example of how this game is different and new. Can't wait for this.
its about how much data can be stored on the discs, 9 GB is just not enough to hold many enormous maps and detailed graphics
