Qore invite - Image 1Those of you interested in PlayStation Home may recall that all Qore Episode 06 and annual subscribers were to be given access to Home's closed beta. Some of the more enthusiastic of you may have actually gone and bought yourselves a copy. Well...

This email was sent out by PlayStation Underground to PSN users last Friday on October 24:

As an update to the PLAYSTATION(R)3 News email sent on Friday, October 24th, the special invitation to PlayStation(R)Home's closed beta is available only to Qore annual subscribers who purchased subscriptions by 10/29. Qore Episode 06 purchasers will not be eligible for the special PlayStation(R)Home beta invitation at this time. We apologize for the miscommunication. Participation in PlayStation(R)Home's closed beta is limited to those 18 years and older and requires agreement with the PlayStation(R)Home Beta Trial.

To summarize: Only those who had shelled out the US$ 25 for the annual subscription to Qore BEFORE Oct. 29 can get into the closed beta. If you bought only Episode 06, tough luck.

Thanks to tipster D-O-A for this disappointing but potentially money-saving bit of news.

» No problem....

No problem, but BEFORE 10-29-08? Where did you get this information? The E-mail says BY 10-29-08; not before.

I don't understand where they got that information from. I'd like to know though. I thought Sony meant "11:59:59 PM EST time on 10-29-08" was the cutoff time and date to buy Qore when they said in their email "By 10-29-08". How did they get BEFORE 10-29-08?

They already downgrade Home too much. In fact, even the NXE is looking much better than Home. Plus NXE will actually come out.

» wow dumb move

ok well it seems like their are quite a few parties are interested in playing home, they should have given this warning out before and im sure they would have sold quite a few yearly subscriptions of their magazine, well going to be a useless for people who have baught it.

» idiots.

If you don't want Qore, don't buy it. That's all there is to it. If you don't Home, then don't waste your own time talking about how it doesn't meet your expectations and whatnot. No one cares.

And this is good. Teaches people to not be money pinchers and just a buy an ep for only the beta or special feature it has. No one has any real reason to complain about this. If it doesn't interest you, then don't touch it. It's only a beta anyway, and no one's forcing you to try it.
