OFLC gives Soldier of Fortune: Payback the green light |

Here's an interesting development regarding Activision's FPS title Soldier of Fortune: Payback for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. In case you've forgotten already, the game was banned by Australia's Office of Film and Literature Classification (OFLC). A quick search on the board's official website, however, will yield a Soldier of Fortune: Payback result carrying a MA 15+ rating, denoting that OFLC has finally changed its mind about the game.
Also, the date of classification has been revised to November 21 and the version section has a "REVISED" note beside it. When Payback was first banned, Activision was given an option to modify some parts of the game or just allow it not to be sold in the region.
Soldier of Fortune: Payback is part of the Soldier of Fortune franchise that began in March 2007. The latest iteration was released in North America just a couple of days ago. Activision has yet to name a new release date for the Australian launch.
