The tentative release date of Fallout 3's Game of the Year edition has just been solidified thanks to an announcement from Bethesda confirming the October 13 release date. The price points mentioned last month have also been confirmed. That's US$ 59.99 for PS3 and Xbox 360 versions and US$ 49.99 for the PC version.

Of special interest to PS3 gamers are the announced release dates for the Fallout 3 DLC. The first one, Broken Steel, will go live next week, on September 24. Operation Anchorage and The Pitt will follow on October 1, and Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta on October 8.

There's no reason not to buy the GOTY edition. I plan on picking up a goty version and then selling my original copy on ebay or something. Did the same with Oblivion.
