Obsidian: You can complete Alpha Protocol *without* killing anyone

Obsidian Entertainment's tweet yesterday revealed that you can actually finish the Alpha Protocol (Xbox 360, PS3, and PC) game without killing anyone. Intriguing, indeed, especially when you take into consideration the fact that it is a stealth-RPG title. You know, one where you sneak up on people precisely so you can kill them without much of a fuss?

Sneaky, sneaky

Then again, come to think of it. That only makes the game even more challenging, don't you think? How indeed do you get from Point A to Point C when Point B is a gun-toting villain with a shoot-to-kill order once he spots you? Not that it hasn't been done before. Solid Snake took his handy-dandy, reliable cardboard box because of this strat to the gaming Hall of Fame, and even Faith in Mirror's Edge tried her leaping stunts at it too. But to complete a full game without absolutely killing anybody down? That I have yet to see.

How do you think this is possible? Sound off in the comments below.

Stealth RPG? I don't see where it is suggested that that also involves killing while being stealth

» How would that work?

In most RPGs you have to kill people in order to get experience and level up. So how would you gain experience? Would you get experience from just getting by someone without being seen?

i'm pretty sure in Metal Gear Solid 4, there was a trophy for beating the game without killing anyone. So it has been done. As for the RPG part, I'm pretty sure you get same experience for knocking out someone as killing someone.

» Fallout 2.

Fallout 2 can be beaten in about 15 minutes without killing anyone.

rpg is not all bout lvling up. it's about taking on role of a character, preforming and making choices based on specifics of that character and the world of that character.

however, leveling up is possible, maybe, through mission completion

» I take that back.

It takes a bit longer and you have to kill a couple people, but I don't think you ever have to actually shoot at anyone.

you still had to kill the bosses in the game at least. I wonder if this game forgoes even that?
