NY Comic Con '09: Splatterhouse trailer smeared with lots of blood, guts, and tentacles

The previous screens shown for the 3D re-imagining of the classic Splatterhouse were rather... well, let's say a bit underwhelming. If any of you may need a bit more convincing, maybe this trailer can help. At least, it's got some action packed in, and ooh, the huge bosses!

It's definitely better than what I expected. Lots of gore, lots of blood, and smack that zombie with a decapitated limb, why don't ya? And gore is always good - at least, in my demented zombie-feeding mind. It has a bit of GoW-ness and one of the bosses reminds me of a twisted Big Daddy. Works for me.

Namco Bandai and Surge's Splatterhouse is scheduled for a release later this year on both the the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Check out the Via link below to head to the official website which recently opened.

I used to like splatterhouse on the arcade and number 2 was for me, like a not-as-good substitute for the first on the megadrive, I remember it being f-ing hard though looking forward to see how this turns out if it doesnt get banned.

Who ever is playing the game at that trailer really needs to practice because he sucks. Actually it's either he sucks or the game has bad controls and I get the feeling it's both.

Compared to 1980's arcade...

... it looks really tame in comparison. The very first splatter house game was stomach-turning. Monsters vomited, bloody worms burst out of hung corpses, and the backgrounds were littered with mounds of human organs. If the new Splatterhouse game was anything like the old-school game, it'd probably never make it to the shelves. Bummer, too...
