Aspiring cosplayers wanting to complete the Cloud Strife look can finally add a touch of authenticity to the getup that no paper mache and plastic can give. You've got your Buster Sword, you've dyed your hair yellow and waxed it into pointy tips, you've even got the bulky SOLDIER boots, now to cap it all off, Square Enix brings you the Cloud Strife Eau de Toilette.

Square Enix certainly took their hobby of chucking out gaming-related consumable goods to a new level with this one. Maybe the Elixir sodas from last time didn't restore as much HP and MP as they would've preferred, or they just want us to smell like pseudoSOLDIERs.

As to the smell, no one has yet to take a Jean Baptiste Grenouille-whiff out of this scent, but I'm betting on a combination of Mako, old Materia, and Geostigma...and Tifa. If you really want to find out, it's US$ 75 a bottle.

How about some Elixir?

I can understand the costume, it just makes you a slightly obsessive fan, but who the hell's gonna use this?

I think a Sephiroth cologne would sell more. Girls love Sephiroth so the superfan boys will probably think it cool to wear it and attract the ladies.

LOL!!!

Theres 2 things that make this halarious. 1- They released a cologne to make u smell like a character from a game. 2- The tryed to give it a fancy french name but there must only been like 1 or 2 french speeking ppl there & must have decided to play a prank or something cuz its name is "Eau de Toilette" a direct translation is "Water of Toilet"! So I know what its gonna smell like. OMG LOLZ! XD

You can ask the Ninja Turtles where the "turtle juice" came from, but you won't like the answer.

by Ghostroo - 2009-09-27 14:36

» Toilet

By that definition i was sprayed with toilet eau de toilette once... then the plumber came out.

by Soily - 2009-09-27 20:31
» Sephiroth

Girls don't love Sephiroth... Many guys like him (seeing how many variations of the name sephiroth you see in online games and internet forums...), but I think girls don't like him that much. He may have a very long katana, but I think girls are more interested in Cloud's big, broad sword, right? :-P

C'mon....this is worse than the FFIX potion bottle deal.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sephirot

We see variations of the name because it's actually a word, and the Japanese love to take random words they think sound cool and use them ad nauseum.

» Geezus

Wow. Just...wow. George Lucas would be proud.

by Genotype - 2009-09-29 07:02
» @ Project D

His name is a variation on the middle eastern tree of life, which makes sense for his character's story. His image during part of the final battle even try to copy parts of traditional images of the sephirot.
