N.O.V.A. explodes into the PSN quietly

Back in April, we were given the news that N.O.V.A. will be heading off to multiplatforms after its great reception on the iPhone. Now, as we greeted the new decade with a bang, the game, so we've heard, has crept in quietly on the PSN.

N.O.V.A. is actually being sold for both the PS3 and PSP, with the PSP version being a mini, and boasts of the following features:

An epic single-player campaign with 13 levels set in the jungle, snow, spaceship, bunker and an alien city
6 weapons: Assault rifle, shotgun, sniper rifle, handgun, rocket launcher and plasma gun – plus grenades & machine gun turrets in certain levels

The game's story revolves on mankind's migration to outer space in search of a new place for survival. With the help of artificial satellites, life is made possible in the stars. Meanwhile, the group in charge of protecting these near-orbitals are the "Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance", and hence we get the title of the game, N.O.V.A.

I downloaded this games expecting smooth gameplay like on my iphone. This game sucks for PSPgo. The game play is choppy, and its a stupid "mini" so you dont get online play. Not to mention N.O.V.A 2 is out, but it'll probably be another year till we see it on the PSN. That is my first and last psp mini that i buy. It should have been a network exclusive.

Also QJ yall be let us know this game was on the network like 2 weeks ago in that "every tuesday" psn update. lol i was complaining then too :(

When dragging the box around the enemies, the action stops the game completely, how stupid is that, makes the game very one sided, way too easy.

I think it's in slow motion (the so called "bullet time").

Anyway, rocket launcher hitting multiple targets isn't something new. It was in Unreal Tournament back in '99.

I chuckled a little when he threw a grenade. Having own an iPod touch I can confirm that sometimes you have to tap/swipe multiple times.
