The T-ZONE.PC DIY SHOP has gone and done some strange things in the past, and for this segment, they've decided to hook up a PS3 to an external 750 GB - yes, that's 750 gigabytes - HDD, and have apparently succeeded in doing so. Of course, Sony does not approve of mods like these, and even the shop that modded this unit advises tech fans not to try this at home.
And for those wondering - no, they are not selling this, they don't plan to sell it, and we certainly do not recommend it even if it's been repeatedly done. Major bummer though - this would have solved all our major download problems lickety-split.

There's no need 750GB yet :/ I can't even fill up my 20GB Lol Maybe when I install Linux or when the PS3 supports AVI this will be usefull. I'd rather get an internal hard drive though, that ***** is too big :p

750GB can come in handy any time. High Definition videos, movies, music, fotos, games, demos and other stuff. Your 20GB is gonna get full in a couple of months, believe me.
Much smaller, cheaper, and less hassle....

The 360 FanBoyz are Angry... It is Understandable.....they are Stuck with a 20GB HDD,and Are forced to Buy One from Microsoft Only at 100$...Imagine the Ripp-Off. As for Core Ownerz....they Need Not a HDD,they Can Alwayz Buy a 64Mb Memory Card for 30$ [Cheap....Isnt it] ;)
i can do better with around 2TB of HD external and not counting what i can fit internally!
I think after the announcement that the XBL arcade has now set the download size from 50MB to 450MB you can virtually guarantee that new hardware is about to be released and the minimum will be much larger Harddrives (which is pretty obvious when you think now that each arcade game can now be almost half a gig.) .So 20 gig is properly about to be dropped anyway. The PS3 also has a 20 gig version so you are not saying a lot for that either then,but cant you just buy a 20$ adapter and use Sata etc for either console anyway?. Oh and if you react to the bait of the few then they will just do it more. thats why they do it,It works both ways as you get exactly the same from the PS3 ones on the 360 site to.

well, Microsoft hasnt even announced the new HDD yet, so it could mean downfall for 360 ppl (including myslef that has PS3 and 360) Maybe another 6 months or year or so for the next HDD......
THE CLASSIC I HAVE BOTH CONSOLES, YER RIGHT ! HERE WE GO AGAIN,wow or whatever you are usually called on here you can only live in hope that M$ would make the same mistakes as Sony has done recently, I really do believe if M$ with their huge buying power sell the new big harddrives at cost it will be the end of the PS3 as competition as a games machine,the 360 is now looked upon by the general public at as next gen gaming machine whereas the PS3 is looked more as a movie player in my experience with people I have spoken to.

i agree total waste of money , i got a 60gb and got loads of movies in it and mp3 + linux and still cant fill it up , whats the need for 750gb???? WASTE OF MONEY
