Nomura: no FFXIII for 2007 |

Ó
Not meaning to rain on everyone's parade, but perhaps hoping to play Final Fantasy XIII by next Christmas may have been a bit too much to ask for, and Tetsuya Nomura himself says so.
In a recent interview with Famitsu, Nomura and his Square Enix crew have said flat out that FF XIII won't be coming out by 2007. We're just guessing at this point, but it may be that they still have to finish some other pending projects first before rolling up their sleeves for this new FF installment which everyone has been drooling over.
Part of their to-do list include Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix for the PS2, It's A Wonderful World and FFXII: Revenant Wings for the DS, FFVII: Crisis Core for the PSP, and the director's cut version of the movie, "Final Fantasy Advent Children."
Sigh. It's going to be a long wait, but as we once said in the case of Shigeru Miyamoto and Super Mario Galaxy, if they want more time to work on the game, then we're happy to wait. Besides, there's at least the demo. Maybe.
In the meantime, we'll amuse ourselves with dreams of Square Enix harnessing the full power of the Lifestream Cell processor, and thoughts of a White Engine and Unreal Engine 3 hybrid in the hands of the masters.

it's also true that the masters aren't there anymore... we're just relying on the game name. and as we're relying on the name, people are relying on the creators...which isn't working either, so I'd just suggest to watch out for good games and not get your hopes up for OMFG FFXIII or OMFG HALOIII...oh wait that's the same creators ;;, so keep your hopes up for that one. as for Ps3... Heavenly sword is what I'm looking forward too^^

And I can't wait for FFXIII on 360 either. It's gonna be so cool because i can get these achievements to make myself play through the damn game; who needs to play games for lesiure now a days, I'm SO HARDCORE! hahaha

naturally ff13 won't be out for another 3 years or something obscene, but you know when it comes out all that anger and frustration we feel while waiting will just melt away the moment we hear that signature theme tune... it happened for me with ff12, i waited soooo long for that game!
i don't know if they'll be mega eager to port ff13 to x360, you may not have noticed but that system isn't doing very well in japan, and squeenix are japan based - and their core audience is japan which means nintendo and sony... i think the numbers at their end may not add up to bother with a port, but here's hoping (i see nothing wrong with others have the same game as me)

The Only Master that left is Hinorubu Sakuguchi,Every one Else is Onboard,And teh Company is Bigger than Ever.
Play FFXII and Feel the Excellence.....Or Valkyrie Profile,Or Dragon Quest.
Hino,s Blue Dragon is a Very Traditional RPG with Nothing New to Offer,Same Old Turn-Based...Heck the Game Was Even Rushed into Japanses Stores with Some Foolish Voices..
To the "Morons" who say that the Masters Have Left......
Did you Watch FFVII:Advent Children..???....Do you Know that the Animation and Graphical Excellence is On-Par With HollyWood...??..Do you Know that the Battle-Scenes Beat Anything you Have Seen In your Miserable Lives..??
Sqaure-Enix is In Its Strongest Days,And Is the Standard for Rpg Gaming....Make no Mistake About it
Oh....And FFXIII/FFXIII versus are PS3 Exclusives...Yes,You can cry in the Corner Now ;)

1. MS have now sold enough 360s in Japan and they can now only get stronger otherwise how else could Gears be in their top 10 just like Blue dragon was 2 weeks ago?.
or
2. If they havent sold enough 360s there then surly it is a waste of their time anyway as it just goes to show that if they are breaking into their top 10 with few machines then software sales must be poor there anyway so why bother with Japan full stop?.

Do you live in Japan ! if NO then how could you possibly Know how the game plays etc because its not officially out anywhere else?.
And here is the SCORE it got from Japans top games mag FAMITSU -
9, 9, 9 + 10 from the editors, which gives it a mighty 37/40 total score.
I think that tells you what the game is really like.

How many games do you see in their top 10 for the PS3 which you think has sold so many in Japan I count the usual NONE,just like a few weeks ago when Blue Dragon was in the top 10 again I counted NONE on the PS3.

But FFXII is just several times better then Blue Dragon and theres no comparison or argument to which ons better.
So what does this mean? It means that changing the people who work on the game is sometimes a good thing. Inviting new ideas and fresh perspectives.
To me, FFXII is the best FF RPG of all time. The storyline was great, the gameplay was just near perfect. You don't get any better then FFXII in satisfaction when you play it, thats me and just about everyone I know whos played the game, and the millions of people over the internet.
So far nothing on the Xbox360 in terms of RPGs is better then FFXII, and its a PS2 game. Blue Dragon didn't receive as much development time as FF games usually get, thats why the game wasn't that great.

I just re-read your posts and I now understand what you're saying.

Game Cube had Super Smash Bros, one of the greatest fighting games ever. The GC still did the worst of the 3 systems, but that doesn't mean that Super Smash Bros sucked.
