Apart from discounts and free game content, PlayStation Plus also offers free episodes of Qore. While Qore subscribers get other privileges, like early beta access, the intersection between the two services was enough for some to want to go for Plus instead. Problem is, Sony won't offer them any refunds or incentives for making the switch.

Replying to a gamer comment at the PlayStation Blog, Sony's Sid Shuman said that they do not have something planned about that at this time:

The PSN plus is a bad subscription package, they give little reason to upgrade and $50 is too much for a a subscription with little benefits.

Sounds like you havent even looked at what all you get with plus.
TONS of freebies that add up easily to cost MORe than the 50.00 they want. and then lets double over the savings (50% on many titles)add that up... damn thats WAY more than 50.00

and then your trapped. Spending an additional 50 later or you lose all you've gained through the service. Not worth it.

you only lose the free games and DLC. You KEEP everything else that you got for free and you obviously keep the things you buy through their discounts. But I'm going to re-subscribe for sure, so I get to keep %100 of everything.

So far I've got $36 worth of free DLC/Games that I have used. And have saved $5 from discounts for things I've bought (Super Stardust HD DLC). So at this rate in 15 months I could easily have $600 or more worth of free content. And have saved $75 on discounts. And that's basing every month on a 2 week period (a month obviously has 4 weeks) lol

seeing as the majority of the PSN games arent the type that you keep playing, its no big deal; just beat the game and move on.

so i dont see much of a problem here, youll only lose the free games....and furthermore, the discounts are quite nice too.....but this isnt for me, as im pathetically cheap -_-

there is some form of redundancy between the two..sony may have to address that in the future..

Anyone who has bought Qore has wasted their money already, anyway. I should know, mine just ran out. I'm still happy with my Plus purchase, though.

Atleast theres some pretty good deals on PSN+, Qore literally had very little to offer. (Best deal for me was that free Spyro game, which i only paid 3 dollars for). Though, if theres good content update, i might upgrade to + this week

I guess I was lucky that my Qore subscription was up when Plus became available. (Me any anyone else who subscribed to Qore yearly on the first episode 2 years ago...)

PlayStation Plus is not worth it to me. The discounted games and Qore is only rentals. Once your subscription expires you won't be able to use any of that content until you bring your subscription current. Just think that if financial times get tough for whatever reason, you won't be able to use any of that content. That would bum me out even more.

maybe you should go read more carefully and much slower... games that are BOUGHT on plus discount are kept. games that are free including dlc aren't. themes and avatars are also kept.
