No more drama please: new LittleBigPlanet Europe release date announced |
Ó
While we hear ISOHaven's broken the LittleBigPlanet street date, for everyone else, it's a couple more days' worth of waiting. Today, we finally hear word from Sony on Europe's rescheduled release date for LittleBigPlanet. In a press release, SCEE made the following announcement:
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe is pleased to confirm that LittleBigPlanet will start to appear in stores no later than the week commencing Monday 3rd November in the UK, Europe, Middle East, Australia and New Zealand, on a country by country basis. We appreciate all the enthusiasm surrounding this much anticipated title and we would like to thank PlayStation fans for their support and understanding.
Given that this "on a country by country basis," some of you living in European or PAL territories might want to ask ahead - call your local video game retailer and confirm with them if you can pick up your copy on Day One. Of course, Day One here is no longer October 22/24, but November 3.
North America has their street date on October 27.

My copy today(10/20/08) at Blockbuster in USA though. She said they only got 2 copies in, mine and the one other reserve they had for it.
With both the release in NA and EU, for NA they said they will start shipping the week of the 27th....that means it's very doubtful any copies will be anywhere on the 27th...and most likely they won't reach retailers till the 28th.....that's IF they start right on the 27th. The "week of the 27th" technically means they could start shipping any day of that week, including the 31st.
Anyways, no doubt they will send 'em out as fast as they can...but I can't help but feel that quantities are going to be very limited and if you didn't pre-order you may not get one for a few weeks....
I didn't pre-order, i'm sad
i will preorder mine on wednesday
im really annoyed with this whole delay thing its not fair
For those of you that are interested. Here's the song that caused this mess.

Play the song Tapha Niang
(also given to QJ)
Are you in the US? You can still pre-order at such places like Gamestop. Then it's first come, first serve. Doesn't matter WHEN you pre-order.
thanks
wondering about it
anyway saw it on the news, only caught the end of it though, it seemed like a riot or protest
ffs, fair enough if you find it unnecessarily offensive, complain and get it removed
but dont start a *****ing riot/protest
anyway i feel sorry for YOUR ps3, never knew you had one
got my copy on the 16th but i heard that the recalled version will not connect to the network so i would have to buy a second copy :(
Seriously? You feel sorry for a PS3? Are you mentally retarded or just plan stupid?
You heard wrong. It connects just fine. Either way, if they did do that they would have to replace the disc for free. They can't control retailers 100% and it's perfectly natural to have older copies floating around.
good to know although i cannot connect right now guess i will know on launch day :)
