The rumor goes on to say that Ninja Theory's been growing "increasingly bitter about their treatment at Sony's hands." We're not entirely sure what that's about. Perhaps SCEE wanted Nariko to be blonde? Anyway, the rumor also says that it got so bad that Ninja Theory is actually packing up its bags and moving. The studio is currently located in the same building as Sony Cambridge, though this may not be for long.
Last March, the plans for a Heavenly Sword sequel was thought to be well underway - there were even hints of rudimentary details about the project. They also previously stated that they were working on a multiplatform project, and that they're even considering creating a CGI movie, which I think would be a good outlet for their style.
*UPDATE*
Ninja Theory has confirmed that they have never started work on the sequel of Heavenly Sword as they wanted to focus on a new multiplatform IP. Moreover, they said that "Sony owns the IP for HS and we have never been privy to what they would do with it." They further state that "HS is far from our thoughts at the moment."
About the supposed move, they have confirmed that this is correct, although there is "nothing bitter about the move." Furthermore, they remark that circulating rumors that the studio has been disbanded are all rumors; the studio now has a new publisher and is busy on their new project, which is "going very well so far."
