Ninja Gaiden Sigma reaches 500,000 copies sold worlwide |
Ó
Tecmo, in a press release, announced that its first PlayStation 3 title Ninja Gaiden Sigma has a total of more or less 500,000 copies in circulation worldwide. This is really good news for the company considering the game's been out for only a few months.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma actually first appeared on the original Xbox as Ninja Gaiden Black back in 2004. A lot of changes have been implemented by Tecmo in this next-gen iteration, such as improved graphics, enemy specifications like AI and damage, as well as the addition of a new playable character, Rachel.
It was announced recently that downloadable content packs will be made available soon at the PlayStation Store collectively known as "Survival Mode". The first one of which will be be released in North America on September 6 and later this month in Japan. It will be priced for 315 Yen or roughly around US$ 3.

The character models have improved, some of the textures have higher resolution, and there's a new playable character. That's about it.
Come on, if the games get better someday I'll have a reason to get a PS3! The PS3 games released so far have no appeal to me whatsoever! I bought the XBOX version of Ninja Gaiden for $10 a year ago and almost beat it! Why pay $60 for the same game on a $600 system just to get improved graphics and a new playable character?

Granted, most of you havent played the Xbox version and think that the improvements are probably vast concidering it is on the ps3 now. But in all actuality, Temco has basically released the same game three times already. The only differences in the versions are what MCS has already pointed out. Hes not being a fanboy, he just knows what hes talking about. And as an owner of both versions I am here to verify that he is indeed correct.
You guys just dont want to believe the truth. He could tell you that the sky is blue and half of you would argue and call him a fanboy of the colour blue! Not everyone got blindly sucked into the sony hype machine like you, and he is one of those people. Hell, I bought a ps3 thinking it would at least be half decent, but I was wrong. Very very wrong.

For those who have never bought the poorly executed original XBlowx, Ninja Gaiden (and NGB) was never bought. Tecmo did the right thing rereleasing it on the PS3 to give gamers a chance to play one of the best games of that genre. No one asked you to buy it on the PS3 if you have the original versions on your XBlowx. And it's as if Sigma didn't live up to those versions...usually remakes are garbage.

However, both you and MCS seem to like taking that extra unnecessary step towards making a jab at the PS3. Why? I dont' know, maybe an inferiority complex?
Just comment on the game if you feel so compelled to open your mouth. What's the quality of NGS got to do with Sony's "hype machine"? Tecmo made a good game available to a wider audience and here you two come slagging it for the sake of slagging the PS3.

I guess Itakagi isn't happy with NGS selling this good :D. That man has a strong bias against Sony consoles, and now, probably Tecmo it is considering to port NG2 to PS3 (We can hope ;) ).
