Next Gran Turismo to make use of PSP and Eye-toy?

There's no doubting the fact that Gran Turismo is a big gaming magnet for the Playstation, always has been and probably always will. Where the Xbox has Project Gotham Racing, the Playstation has Gran Turismo. Petrolheads and gaming enthusiasts alike drool over the thought of Gran Turismo, arguably the most realistic driving simulator on the market; beaten by PGR only on graphics, not gameplay. Admittedly, I'm a bit biased myself because I'm a petrolhead, but the Gran turismo series has to be my favourite racing franchise on the market today.

Other like-minded individuals might want to know that Future Shop have listed Vision Gran Turismo over at their online store for $75 - with a nifty bit of information. It claims to have a release date of November 30th, and has "Exclusive use of the PSP and Eyetoy brings the realism you expect from a GT game. Fill your engine with emotion and get on the road!.

Does this mean we could actually be seeing our own faces driving the cars, adding yet more realism to The Real Driving Simulator? Also, what could PSP connectivity reveal? Maybe an online mode that crosses Gran Turismo for the PSP and Gran Turismo for the PS3? We are unsure, and that isn't the end of the lack of knowledge. It appears both Polyphony digital and Sony are keeping their lips sealed on this one - we dont' even know whats happening with Gran Turismo for the PSP! Will it ever be released? Even better, will it come bundled with the PS3 version, allowing multiplayer connectivity between the two devices?

Although we cannot trust online retailers 100% as to what they have on their product description pages, they don't make a habit of making up rumours. The only reason we hunt for information like this is because information on the next Gran Turismo is scarce. I mean, we don't even know if this 'Vision Gran Turismo' is the same as Gran Turismo HD which Sony showed off at E3! The one thing I can be sure about is that QJ.net will have latest information when it arrives.
