This just in from our mailing lists. Yellow Dog Linux is up with a new version, which sports a TON of updates, as well as extra goodies for the PlayStation 3 user hoping to get a new OS into their system.The new updates for the PS3 version of the YDL are numerous, but here are the basics for everyone to think about:
- Support for the Sony PS3.
- More than 500 updated packages.
- Built-in Wi-Fi now supported.
- USB printers fixed.
- The bootloader is now included on the DVD.

cant seeem to find supernintento for the linux distro
where is it!? help me... i want my ydl to have wifi, it says 'find it in the public mirrors' - that's not as easy as they make it seem... i can't.
any hints?

anybody got a url to download the full package with the wifi drivers ?
i've tried all those mirrors... all of them... i've looked in all the directories.
oh, actually i haven't gone to the rsync ones.

That's the iso for Apple computers, not the PS3 one...should be available in the mirrors on a couple of days...keep checkin'...

None of the mirrors I see have a free download of 5.0.1 for ps3 with wifi. If someone finds it please post it.
I got it on mininoa.org, look for ydl. The installation is simple, download, copy on a usb key, start linux, and click on the file, it does everything by itself :)
the 5.0.1 PS3 image will be released to the public in the future. Onyl ydl account members can get it now.
But you can update your kernel to get wifi.

has ne1 tried that file n see if it works, or if its a fake?
yes, you can find the file on their main mirror and it works.
you can jsut double click it once you've carried it over into linux on usb or whatever.
careful to enter the right values in the right places... mine wouldn't work for ages after i got that wrong.
(i have only a sdtv so i had entered a different 'default' in kboot.conf, this meant when i altered some things it went all wrong.)

The mirrors on terrasoft sites have the new kernal now. You don't have to take risks with the torrent or megaupload files.
