now we're all very much aware that professional wrestling is fake. But
that hasn't stopped worldwide wrestling fans from loving it, and the
industry has embraced it, even changing the name to WWEntertainment from WWFederation,
to give emphasis that it's all just for show (not to mention expanding their scope). From the years of Hogan,
to the reign of Degeneration X, up to the current lordship of John Cena
and his Chain gang, WWE has indeed become a commercial item. With it
branching out to next-generation consoles, what can gamers expect but
the same angsty attitude, iconic flair, and drama immortalized by this
entertainment industry.The next-gen version, titled WWE Smackdown vs. Raw, will boast (what an apt term!) an all-new multi-platform wrestling smackfest with its high-impact movesets, user-controlled environmental hotspots and an interactive fighting area within the crowd. Of course the rosters would be updated to showcase more-recent wrestling stars like Cena, Rey Mysterio, Benjamin, Batista etc. The General Manager Mode and online multiplayer gameplay has been amped with more features like voice chat support.
We have here three videos giving us a brief glimpse of what to expect from this title for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles. First of is John Cena's entrance with this "The Time is Now" cut from his own album (talk about entertainment). The second video shows high-flying Mysterio battling it out with equallt athletic Benjamin. Third demo features rugged wrestler Cena pwning usually-brutal Triple H, with his signature "You can't see Me!" gestures, and FU moves.
This THQ title will hit videostore shelves on November 17, 2006 (US) and December 31, 2006 (Japan). For now, we could do three things to satisfy our craving: 1. Watch the three gameplay videos below; 2. Watch the weekly episodes of Raw and Smackdown or; 3. Find a muscle-ripped, 200 lb. guy somewhere and trash talk him into wrestling with you.

The WWE didnt change their name to emphasize entertainment. They changed it because they abrreviated the old name to WWF which was being used by the world wildlife foundation.
wrestling isnt fake.. people who dont watch it , wont watch it because its "guys in tights rubbing bodys" but really its more than just that.. its physical and mind strength.. falling from the top rope and hitting the mat hurts more than people thing.. sure the punches (some of them) are fake.. but some are real.. have you seen backyard wrestling or ECW ? exactly.. not fake.. its entertainment and i love it ! @ #1: Sorry about the first download link, its been fixed. @ #5: Sorry bud, WWE wrestling (and its contemporaries) are fake. They assume characters with fictional storylines. The winners of matches are predetermined. The same matches are repeated when on tour. Pro-Wrestling is nothing more than partially improvised stunt choreography. That's not to say it doesn't require ability and talent in several fields, but it isn't "real" in terms of a sport.
All us wrestling fans know its fake, we don't need be reminded everytime from non-watchers. It's called sports entertainment, they get hurt the hazards are there. I watch UFC but it's not as popular as WWE. After WWE left Spike, CSI is the show that tune people in to Spike, not UFC.

Yes yes we know wrestling is fake but its good entertainment. Its all good i mean like everythings fake these days i dont c y people care that the subject "Wrestling" gets everyones attention. People get a life and just enjoy the show!! O and some of the stuff is gonna hurt, choreography or not it still can hurt bad. They cant fake fall out of the ring to the floor and say its "fake!"
