Semi-official Sony blog Three Speech has posted new screenshots from the upcoming air-and-ground shooter Warhawk. While these screenshots may not be enough to satisfy hardcore fans who are eagerly awaiting this game, these pretty pictures from SCEA and Incognito should be able to tide fans over until Warhawk hits.
This multiplayer-only game is a remake of the flight combat game of the same name released on the original Sony PlayStation more than ten years ago. Players can take control of planes, tanks and jeeps in a bid to bring down their opponents and stay alive at the same time.
Warhawk will reportedly drop this August by way of two different routes: players can download a "basic" version containing only the game via the PlayStation Store or spring for a Collectors Edition Blu-ray disc that contains extra content.

this game looks like real fun. it seems to have a lot of replay value and from what i've been hearing we can play online with two players on the same console simultaneously. also, with the bluetooth headset being added in, more players have the ability to communicate with one another more efficiently not only in this game, but other games as well.
I really agree, and after enjoying the unfinished Beta, I really cannot wait to buy the final version. This might be the most entertaining online game I have ever played. Btw, it is 4 player splitscreen online, and players can join and leave, splitting the screen on the fly, whenever they want. That is REALLY awesome.

wow, this game looks awful. are you sure this isnt just coming out for the psp and it just mistakenly got labeled as a ps3 game? i smell another 5.5 out of 10 in the making!

it was an xbox game and since the devs decided to put it on ps3 instead of 360, the 360 fans are coming and are attempting to ridicule an excellent game. btw what 5.5? i sure hope its not a ps3 game review that you're gunna post that links to an xbox site.

If you look at the second pic theres a guy with a yellow colored suit (dont remember that in the beta) & for AxcderyhxA the pics look actuall kinda bad... but i played the beta and it looks way better than what these pics are showing. Even thought your still putting it in a fanboy way and WAY underRating this game. Dumbas5...
Ive been playing the beta and I'm pretty disappointed. First off controlling the warhawk is very difficult. Secondly any other way you battle say its on foot or in a tank is very boring. There are way better games out there like battlefield for this type of gameplay. Some people get really good with the warhawk, but its one of those things that takes hours and hours to learn, rather hours and hours of getting killed over and over. Warhawks are very weak, ground units usually make easy work of them. Will this game be any good on release? Perhaps... I wouldn't buy it in its current state.
i played the beta a bit, looks much better then the screenshots BUT i feel like the replay value has already gone and im not sure if i would buy it now, i mean the beta had pretty much everything the full game will have. i guess i shouldn't of got the Beta cause now it seems a little old and i feel like iv'e plyed it out, neone else feel the same?

Was a release game for the PS1 and a damned good one too... You are damned stupid if you think it was ever going to xbox/360.....
That's what the beta is for right... But what surprised me is that they are launching the game so quickly after the beta launched/finished. So I wonder if any real improvements were made or if it was just to test servers and such....
Warhawk control is actually quite smooth and has a fairly easy learning curve for dogfights. It's a fun multiplayer game, almost everyone I met in the beta was enjoying the game also. Also the game was balanced almost perfectly at the end of the beta. Stop hating.

The lair review was based on two levels, and on the controls. Its not fair for a game to be reviewed this way. I'm not really worried anyways because I'm not that interested in the game. Warhawk looks very awesome. I don't understand why you are saying the game sucks. Is it because Xbox360 doesn't have anything like it? The only good online game is Gears of war but I always hated the fact that its only limited to 8 players. The weapon selections sucks ass. Warhawk looks fun because of the jump in aspect (funny how "jump in" is Xbox360's motto). I can atomatically join a battle. And the cool thing is that the area you are in isn't the only battlefield. There are people fighting in the air, on foot, or on vehicles. So I can be in a tank for example while my other 3 friends who are playing split screen with me, can provide air support. Thats just crazy! All four of us could be doing different things in different places. And when they join in my game isn't interrupted. The screen simply divides into 4 squares and each of us could go on and do their own thing. If they leave, the screen simply expands into full view. Say what you want, this game rocks. And I wish Xbox360 had something like this. Too bad Microsoft is so damn strict about their Xbox Live service. Hard choice: A free online service that gives developers more freedom but with less features, or a paid online service that offers premium features yet it lessens the developer's options.

Will this game be entirely online or will it have a single player campain? I ask this because I want to make sure I can play it offline as well.

it shouldnt have gone away. it's probably because you were one of few others able to experience it. when the actually copy comes out, there will be a whole new community to interact with. i know several buddies of mine will be buying copies and so will i. after all it was a beta which means they were really just testing out for bugs and it's capabilities. i wouldnt be surprised if they threw in a thing or two you havent seen in the beta version.
basically what you're saying is that this game has great depth and a large learning curve. the harder it is to play, the deeper the gameplay is. i hate video games that i can master right off the bat such as the dead or alive series (not aiming particularly at xbox owners), but rather games that may take many many hours to master such as ssbm.

It is very is to fix.. First, click on the thumbnail.. That will give you a bigger picture.. Then click on the "Open in New Window" link. That will give you a bigger picture.. Then put your mouse pointer over the picture, and click when it turns into a magnifying glass. That will give you a picture in 720P resolution.. It ok.. We all understand that you are new to the web, and aren't familiar with HD images, and this crazy "technology".. Maybe you'll understand after you grow up.
