New US PSN Video Content: Star Trek, Timeline (RIP Crichton), Hero, more

On the game-side, we've got MGS4 in yesterday's PSN update, but some of you are probably still busy with the Mirror's Edge demo. Whatever the case may be, it's popcorn time! Movies, TV shows - another big batch of them is going live on PlayStation Network.

I see a couple of gems in there. The Prestige (the book was a good read too!), Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo (who says grown ups can't watch cartoons too?), and Timeline (rest in peace, Michael Crichton...)

If I'm going to be watching something download for roughly an hour, I might as well torrent it. Renting DVD's has a point because you can get them very fast.

Yes, i have. And you don't have to wait an hour to watch the movie. I've rented hour long tv shows and it is ready to watch after about 30 seconds. The ps3 continues to download the video as you are watching it. Also, there is a larger selection of movies than the average cable company's on demand and you don't have to drive to a video store looking for a movie just to find out that they are all rented out. Just a couple of the many reasons why the ps3/360 video download service is a good choice.
