Zombies running through the city. Huge military dispatches trampling through the streets. And buildings turning into bio-terror hives? (Not to mention lots of missiles, gunfire, explosions, decapitations, crashing helicopters, and cars flying through the air!)

Oh, and tentacled mutants.

Prototype sure looks like it's going to kick some serious ass. This dev diary elaborates more on the open-world free-roaming game's story and characters. We're starting to patch together the itty bitty pieces of how this whole game's going to play out - and this trailer is definitely more jampacked than all the rest we've seen so far!

Looks like inFamous' Cole McGrath has his match in Alex Mercer!

Radical Entertainment and Sierra Entertainment's Prototype is scheduled to be released this year for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.

» i sense . . .

this game is what grand theft auto could have been. i mean, think about it: YOU KILL PEOPLE TO PROGRESS THE STORY!

to all of my friends who never beat grand theft auto because the missions just weren't that fun: you can go on the best damn rampage you've ever seen and beat the game in probably 5 hours.

there's your f*cking cake.

NOW EAT IT.
