New SCEE president Andrew House: Wii owners will "upgrade" to PS3 |

Not long after John Koller said that Nintendo DS owners grow up and go for the PSP,
David Reeves' successor and newly-appointed SCEE president Andrew House
makes a similar remark, saying that Wii owners will eventually
"upgrade" to the PS3. Is this some kind of unofficial Sony campaign?
Wouldn't put it past Sony.According to House, Wii owners will eventually seek out a console with better and more advanced features - the PS3. “I think we’re going to see this later on PS3, and the fact that it’s a Blu-ray player as well and that there’s a [greater] wealth of network based experiences than are perhaps available on the device they already have will add to the proposition," he said, adding that the PS3 life cycle could "significantly exceed ten years."
No doubt that the PS3 packs more power than the Wii, and some Wii owners may want to "upgrade" at some point. As early as now, the PS3 seems to be making some ground with the post-E3 weekend boosting its sales.
More from Sony:
- Sony's big March 31 announcement: not a PS3 price cut
- SCEE boss: built-in PSP hard drive still possible, PS3 to remain most expensive console, exclusives in terms of relationships (not bribes)

I've been playing Medal of Honor Heroes 2 on my Wii until then...now I've 'upgraded' and can now enjoy the frag fest of Unreal Tournament 3.
