You really do learn something new everyday. Take this announcement for some new Far Cry 2 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) DLC for example. This DLC batch includes a silenced shotgun, something that I thought only existed in movies. I looked into it a bit, and apparently, it does. Wow.
Anyway, let's talk about Fortune's Pack DLC. Apart from the silenced shotgun, it also includes two other new weapons for the solo campaign: a sawed-off shotgun and a crossbow. There are also two new vehicles in the form of the Unimog and the Quad.
Fans of the multiplayer mode will be getting four new competitive maps: Cheap Labor, Last Resort, Lake Smear, and Fort Fury. The new weapons and vehicles for the single-player mode will also be available in multiplayer.
The Fortune's Pack DLC will be available on Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Store before the end of November. Price has been set for 800 Microsoft Points / US$ 9.99.

awesome, and when i thought this game couldn't get any better
But.... $10 for 3 weapons and 2 vechicals seems kind of steep.

What? I've read this over and over and it makes no sense, you either mean "turns out it does only exist in movies" or "turns out it exists in real life too" I know of shotgun silencers. :-D
But for the most part, that kind of silencer for a shotgun does not work very well. One of the companies that makes them says it only reduces noise by about 6 decibels. Not much
If you google shotgun silencer you'll see what you need to silence a shotgun. It's not putting a little barrel on the end
