With some tips from a member of a quality consumer survey done for the title and a few bits of info from past gaming events, the HipHopGamer is spreading the love with new gameplay details for Assassin's Creed 2 (PS3, Xbox 360). Ubisoft is stepping it up on this one, so you'd better listen read up good.

Assassin's Creed - Image 1

First up is where and who. You'll be set in the Italian Renaissance where you'll be stalking and killing through the eyes of a new character named Ezio, along with other characters. But hold up, it's not clear just yet if you'll be able to play them in the Animus or in the real world as well.

There's also the matter of the first Assassin's Creed being repetitive. Ubisoft listened and now they're looking to change things, starting with new dimensions to the game. For one, players now get to swim. This could pose new challenges and interesting maneuvers if your target is, let's say, in a city like Venice.

It's not all about getting soaked in water and blood though, you'll also be brushing elbows with high society, attending balls and stuff, where you'll be wearing masks to blend in the crowd. Sounds like a masquerade ball. According to the source, you will be disguised as a dancer, take out your target while you're at it, without anyone taking notice.

Ubisoft decided to drop cinematics in this one, opting rather to go for quick-time event cut scenes in the game and allow the players to stay engaged in crucial gameplay and story moments.

Sounds pretty good. I like the idea of taking out prey in the canals of Venice. As of now, Ubisoft hasn't confirmed if all these features will in fact be in Assassin's Creed 2.

it isnt as simple as the 1st one, i killed like 6 or 7 templars at the beggining of the game (after your stripped of your skills) it was just really simple, and got bored after a couple of hours...

I agree. The First AC was way too overhyped.

After the first three missions you basically have seen everything.

Yeah felt the same here too, every mission was stab this guy now stab that guy, and every fight was counter counter counter attack counter.... I did basically the same tactic the whole game, run to where I had to go, climb a bit, kill the guy, counter a bunch of guards, run away....
