New gameplay details for Assassin's Creed 2 |
Ó
First up is where and who. You'll be set in the Italian Renaissance where you'll be stalking and killing through the eyes of a new character named Ezio, along with other characters. But hold up, it's not clear just yet if you'll be able to play them in the Animus or in the real world as well.
There's also the matter of the first Assassin's Creed being repetitive. Ubisoft listened and now they're looking to change things, starting with new dimensions to the game. For one, players now get to swim. This could pose new challenges and interesting maneuvers if your target is, let's say, in a city like Venice.
It's not all about getting soaked in water and blood though, you'll also be brushing elbows with high society, attending balls and stuff, where you'll be wearing masks to blend in the crowd. Sounds like a masquerade ball. According to the source, you will be disguised as a dancer, take out your target while you're at it, without anyone taking notice.
Ubisoft decided to drop cinematics in this one, opting rather to go for quick-time event cut scenes in the game and allow the players to stay engaged in crucial gameplay and story moments.
Sounds pretty good. I like the idea of taking out prey in the canals of Venice. As of now, Ubisoft hasn't confirmed if all these features will in fact be in Assassin's Creed 2.

Sounding like Assassin's Creed getting a bit from Hitman....i like...
Sounds good, I wonder if there will be guns in this at all? because they did have guns around then........ does sound a bit like hitman but hopefully more polished!
it isnt as simple as the 1st one, i killed like 6 or 7 templars at the beggining of the game (after your stripped of your skills) it was just really simple, and got bored after a couple of hours...
*puts on flame suit*
please dont "tolv" me!
videogame's characters always learn to swim in the second chapter :)
I agree. The First AC was way too overhyped.
After the first three missions you basically have seen everything.
+1
also they should be a robin hood one
same sort of play looks feel, and the way youd climb around etc is similar to assassins creed
Yeah felt the same here too, every mission was stab this guy now stab that guy, and every fight was counter counter counter attack counter.... I did basically the same tactic the whole game, run to where I had to go, climb a bit, kill the guy, counter a bunch of guards, run away....
