Buckle up and take a wild ride aboard a 23rd century hovercar with Fatal Inertia. The game's developers have been working hard on this prospect and it's shows in how these screens look right now.

Set in the far future where extreme vehicle combat sports are taking the world by storm, Fatal Inertia will show more than just fancy lighting and breakneck frame rates. The Unreal Engine 3 will be put to another test as physics play a key role in the mayhem. Terrain and environments are fully destructible, allowing players to use it along with some strategy to their advantage.

Fatal Inertia by Koei is one of the anticipated titles in the works for next-generation consoles. The game was originally penned as a Sony PlayStation 3 exclusive but was later announced for the Microsoft Xbox 360. The PS3 version was reported as being cancelled, however, official announcements suggest that the title is just under indefinite delay.

Um

Is this game even still coming to PS3.... I thought it was "delayed indefinitely".

360 for now

Don't worry, it's Quantum Redshift for the 360 anyway.

Who knows

It may end up being a great game, so you can't really claim that. Even Wipeout was difficult to appreciate from screenshots, but was an awesome to play, whereas some games look awesome in screenshots, but end up being very poor or simply average. We'll see.

Nothing on Wipeout... enough said.
