As a perfect compliment to the set of 3 new Battlefield: Bad Company screenshots released today, Electronic Arts and Digital Illusions have revealed a whole host on the next-generation game shoot 'em up heading for both the Xbox 360 and the PS3. The next Battlefield title to enter the console market will drop gamers into a near-future Eurasian conflict, expanding the Battlefield franchise with a deep, cinematic single-player experience, capturing the feel of the series' award-winning multiplayer gameplay that both console and PC gamers have experienced.

In the Single-player campaign, players will be able to join a 4-man team of soldiers going AWOL in a quest for revenge and riches. The usual Battlefield realism will be a little different with this title, as it is a game set in the future the developers have had a chance to play around with the storyline, developing a humorous plot which should keep players entertained for the length of the game, despite the amount of battles that will be going on in between.

As we have previously reported, Bad Company features a 90% destructible environment, something which should also keep you occupied between battles. Also, the game will feature a huge selection of new tools and weapons, as well as land, air and sea vehicles. Battlefield: Bad Company is due to arrive on PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2007.
