Japanese gaming mag, Dengeki, has revealed that a new title in Gust's Atelier franchise is in now in the works and is set to be a PS3-exclusive. This new JRPG would be the first Atelier title in the current console gen and it's bound to live up to the franchise's reputation, perhaps even more.

Dengeki reveals that this new JRPG will be called Atelier Rorona and it will also focus on the Atelier tradition of crafting and synthesizing. Details are pretty scarce so far, but more info is expected to come out on March 27th in another Dengeki issue.

We'll keep you posted when the details start rolling in.

yet another game to join the PS exclusives. im about to sell my 360 considering all there aren't any exclusives for that anymore. (halo gears and mass effect are on PC) that makes what....8+ games so far that are exclusive to ps3?

haha! what reputation? These games didn't do all that well.

Though I did enjoy the first one, and a high def version of those beautiful sprites would be amazing. Just hope it doesn't end up like Disgaea 3 graphically...

I really hope the main NIS and Atlus franchises stay on exclusive to Playstation, because I've always enjoyed those games on my PS consoles. I go to my 360 for other reasons.

Just because their other titles didn't sell well doesn't make it a bad game. You make it sound like they have to sell a lot to make it a great game. I'm just glad that there are more JRPG coming out for the PS3.
