Netflix going disc-free next week

Not all of the PS3 updates will be geared against the PS Jailbreak. For those who've been updating their consoles regularly, be glad to know that Sony is finding ways to make it worth your while. Starting this Monday, you'll be able to watch streaming videos on your PS3 without the need of the the Netflix disc.

You are right to a point. Us Canadians have had Netflix since the start of October. And the selection isn't great. But thats because its the Canadian version with a lot of things missing. I understand the American one has far more content. Stuff is getting added little by little, but its taking time.

If you watch the Netflix commercials it says "US Members shown". And I have listened to plenty of podcasts where they cut there cable because netflix was so awesome. I really hope we get more in Canada, I am willing it buy it, if we get some more content

If you add something that is Watch Instantly available, then it will show up in your Instant Queue. There are plenty of great old movies and new releases.

netfix has good movies on streaming, like 2012, Jasson, Avator and ton of television shows like Spartacus, The Office, Bones season 1 2 3 and 4, Better off Ted, Family Guy, Dextor and more! And they have new movie releasing everytime. You can order on dvd or blue ray, just by clicking onto your PlayStation and enter Netfix.com and browse through tons of movie to order at your home.

Yeah it would be nice if they had some downloadable apps that the user can decide what they want. I'm hoping for a PSP emulator.

so will this be just for usa only? i hate it when sony make regional applications. and not worldwide. i guess il have to turn to jailbreak too soon if this continues.

You don't need psJailBreak to watch videos on your PS3, you ignorant.

PS3 Media Server or TVersity do it fine, I personally recommend PMS!

VVTF Really, does it take the PS3 being jailbroken for a company to realize that it's not doing its job correctly. People are tired of jumping through hoops to get stuff to work how it should from the get go. I mean honestly, how many man hours went into making psgroove (doesn't support backups) just to run programs they want, how they want, without ignorant restrictions. Well thats all I have to say about that.

If I remember correctly Wii has this option, via disc that is.

They are just expanding.

Wrong people you can watch all region's now on Net-Flix I just watched last night some German movies! And a Thai Movie Thank you Net Flix! Heck it even show's what type of movies you might like! Now that's cool! I would like to see on PSN music videos! Where is Vid-Zone Sony!.Always late to the party in the US!
