So, what sort of online modes are we talking about in Electronic Arts' Need for Speed ProStreet? The sort that not only lets you compete online, but also takes into consideration the bane of online gaming - time differences.
Take for example the Shared Race Day feature. Players can create their own race days with their own events and specifications - and then other players can choose to participate in those race days even when the creator of that race day isn't online. All the scores and data are still tallied, so it's still a competition - just that it's more time difference-friendly than others.
Certainly a good direction for the series to focus on the social aspect of online gaming. Enjoy the video!
