NCsoft to deliver four exclusive PS3 MMORPGs |

In a follow up interview by GamesIndustry.biz, NCsoft Europe CEO Geoff Heath goes into more detail about their E3 announcement about a deal between NCsoft and Sony. NCsoft, the team behind Guild Wars, City of Heroes, and Lineage, announced an exclusive game development deal with Sony for the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Portable.While the deal does promise exclusivity for Sony, Heath explains that NCsoft is only expanding its business and not replacing its strong foothold on PC games. So while they are planning to release video games for the PS3, the projects will be chosen from games that were mostly conceptualized for the PC.
Heath doesn't go into detail about the games themselves except to say that it won't be more of the same:
We can't keep recycling the goblins and the swords. [...] There's 2 million people playing Guild Wars, but there are 198 million people in Europe with PCs and broadband who aren't playing Guild Wars. So I say, let's go get them.

obviously you don't have the intelligence and sense of a normal human being to comprehend the importance of this news. Using retarded phrases like "sony fanboy orgy fuuckers!" displays a lot about your knowledge about the situation. (that was sarcasm if you couldn't recognize it). In any case, this is definitely good news. hopefully we can see popular franchises like Lineage and Guild Wars on the ps3, which will greatly bolster their position in this war. If not, I'm sure NCsoft will come up with some great ideas because they are a very creative company that has pumped out great franchises like the ones I listed above

Guild Wars on PS3, now that sounds pretty cool. I own the first guild wars on PC w/out any expansions, and I would have to say its one of the better MMORPG's.
omg i wander if they gonna make lineage 3 for ps3 that would be my dream come true
Guild Wars on PS3, now that is a reason to buy a ps3 .... quality games like GW would help the PS3 gain market .... and I would not need to hide in the computer room to play on my PC .... It could be an event on the HDTV .... now if only they could set up a Guild Wars client on PSP for when I am on the go but close to a wifi connection ... I am on board!!!! sony and NCsoft ... make it so
YAY! I'm so freakin happy now :D NCsoft definitely knows how to make great online games, so I support Sony and NCsoft a lot on this matter :D
I don't think its going to be Guild Wars, its going to be Guild Wars 2 if you read about GW2 you can see how it can easily be a PS3 game since its over the shoulder more obilivion style.
