SIXAXISSo the PS3s are finally out and about (well, kind of). Of course, after hearing about all the stuff that this monster of a console can do - HD graphics, backwards compatibility, upgradeable HDD, etc. - you're going to want to think about what other accessories you can plug into the PS3 to make it even more powerful.

In our random trawlings in the internet, we came across a list of the five must-have PS3 accessories from News.com. Wanna know what the first thing in the list was? Just take a look to your right. Yep, the SIXAXIS.

The PS3 can support up to seven wireless controllers, but it ships with just one SIXAXIS controller. You'll need an extra controller so that you can go head-to-head against a friend in games like Madden NFL 07 or Resistance: Fall of Man, so it's highly suggested that you grab another one. If you've got the cash, you can even spring for three extra since the standard for multiplayer games is still set at two to four people.

To check out the four other must-have PS3 accessories, click on the 'read' link below. If an accessory that you want isn't on the list, don't hesitate to leave a comment here and let others know about it.

» First Serve First Base!

Buy the accessories first before Christmas then buy the consoler after Christmas, and that make sense to me! Too many hype trying to get their console first then accessories later. There are lots of accessories floating around. Like I said, buy the accessories first then buy the console later. Or wait for re-Version B or C next year. Good luck of getting Version A with so many bugs and errors, lol!

» what bugs?

there are no bugs it just operates in a particular mannor and if your TV doesnt support 720P then you should get a new TV anyways because Progressive images are worth the $1200 investment. Besides that there are no real issues with the hardware.

» what?

1: the sixaxis, yeah

2: HDMI cable, errr, only if you have a tv supporting this :S

3: wirless router.. who still have wired router.. a wireless one anyway cost about 9$ for a TRENDnet and the router is good. (54 b/g )

4: mem card adapter, HELL NO, just rent it 1 time to transfert all the saves!!! the only reason you have to buy this is is you wanna play on a ps2 after ( if not, just rent it ) like bringing your game to a friend's house...

5: a game, LOL, so it's more important to have another controller then buying a game? lol, even a wireless router and a mem card adapter it more important then a game? wtf

» actually

Actually as a computer science graduate, I can honestly tell you that you can get 1080p quality without the use of HDMI or DVI cables, as long as you have really high quality Component HD cables. If you TV outputs 1080p, then you will basically see no difference in high quality HD cables and HDMI...try it out and see what happens...
